Samuel Woodman (b. 2003) is an emerging artist based in Melbourne, Australia . From a young age he has been fascinated with diagrams. Due to this, his practice is a form of contemplative rendering, trying to realise and picture that which is immaterial yet fundamental.
His work depicts diagrams, delineating systems by which we explain and become aware of the world. In an effort to understand the processes of thought. To do this, the work visualises a system of embedded meaning, taking the scientific, religious and philosophical and turning it into symbol, colour and form.
